AM - 8 miles. 60 min with 10ish min tempo. Another crap workout today. I was supposed to do 20 min of tempo but I just wasn't feeling it so I cut it short. I guess I did okay at first but when I started to fall off I just decided to cut it short instead of running a crappy last 10 min. Nothing really to say about why I ran so bad. Just a bad day for me.

PM - 3 miles. 30 min easy. Met up with Skylar, Jake, Dallin, Bryan, Andrew, and Jason at noon. It was super hot but we kept it pretty slow so that was nice. We swam in Skylar's pool after which was fun.

AM - 6 miles. 40 min. with 30/30s. Great workout for me today. I really stayed relaxed and just felt really strong. My right calf was a bit sore but it faded as the workout went on. I ended up being the 2nd to last guy standing with 24 repeats. I probably could have gone a few more but I was glad to finish off strong. My form felt a lot smoother today than it has in a while.

PM- 3.25 miles. 30 min easy. Met up with Preston, Jake, and Igor at Preston's house and we ran under the freeway to run on the trails for a little bit. We took it nice and slow but it was still hard because of the heat.

AM - 7.5 miles. 60 min easy with 20 min grass. We started out pretty fast and when we started to lose Bryan, me and Jake just slowed down and ran with him. It ended up being a nice slow run.

PM - 2.5 miles. 30 min easy. We ran Neon Spider today at 7:30 PM. We didn't get a whole lot of mileage because we went really slow through the tunnel but it was all good. It was really fun but it got kind of ruined when my brother used a flashlight. There was actually quite a bit of water in there and we totally soaked our shoes and I slipped right at the end and got covered in mud but I wasn't mad. It was just a really fun run with the team.

AM - 8.75 miles. 67 min with 2x(2,3,4,3,2) min cruise intervals with 3 min recover. Really good workout not only for myself but also the team. I just felt really good today and I stayed really relaxed the whole time and it allowed me to be right at the front leading for many of them. We tried to keep the group together and we did a decent job. We tried to make those who were struggling lead us on a few of them and that really helped. They would eventually fall back and then me and Paul would usually take the lead from them but often they would still push right with  us. On the last one, Paul made and epic move about halfway through and I did my best to match. It was a really fun workout and really big team building one. Hopefully we can carry this through the rest of the season.

PM - 3.5 miles. 30 min easy. Sandbergs with the guys at about 3. Super hot but still a fun run.

AM - 5 miles. Uncle Sam's 5k. Fairly decent race today. Me and Preston met up and got a quick little warm up in and got to the line. I got out fairly quick and right into the front pack which included Nephi Eshler and his teammate Jessie, a runner from Bingham, some college age guy, and Preston. Preston and Jesse fell off early but I stayed relaxed and kept right with them for the first mile. Just after mile 1 I started to fall behind a little bit and it pretty much stayed that way the rest of the race. I made a few pushes in the last two miles and it kind of looked like I was gaining on Nephi but then I slowed back down and it went back to what it was before. I ended up finishing 4th. The Bingham kid won (not sure of his time), college guy was 2nd, Nephi finished 3rd, Jesse was 5th, and Preston was 6th. For halfway through the summer, I'm proud of how I did. Most of all the race was a lot fun. The course was pretty fast, mostly road, and the only hills were really small and gradual.

AM - 7 miles. 72 min with strong finish. Average Pace: 10:23. I met up with Jake, Preston, and Andrew this morning and we ran Bracken's loop. It was a really hard core trail and I do not recommend it. It is probably one of the hardest trails around here. It is super sandy on most of the trail and it is pretty hilly. It is really beautiful so I can't complain too much. We ended up losing the trail about halfway through and so we just ran randomly through the desert until we hit the trail again. I actually think the trail was much harder than where we ran. We went pretty slow today but I was feeling tired and worn down so I didn't mind. The strong finish was good. It was mostly downhill so it wasn't hard to get moving.
