| | AM - 8 miles. 4x1600 (goal - 5:29) with 400 meter recovery and 2x300 all out with full recovery and 1 mile warm/cool. I did much better on this workout today. I tried to stay a little more positive and work on my form and it turned out pretty well. My times ended up being 5:28, 5:26, 5:29, 5:29. The 300s weren't as fast as they could have been but still pretty decent. I ran a 44 and 45. My foot hurt a bit today.
PM - 4 miles. 3 miles and striders. Short day at school today and Coach and all the seniors went to Senior Sluff so numbers were thin. We ran through Sandbergs to Water wheel park and did striders. It was a super fun and relaxing run.

| | AM - 3 miles. The usual with yoga. My foot was a little bit bothersome.
PM - 5 miles. Coe Workout #1 Today with 1.5 mile warm/cool. This workout is a lot harder than you think. All the guys were running it with us so it was pretty crowded which I think will really help me get ready for some of these bigger races. I tried to get out quick so that I didn't get trapped but towards the end, I got so tired and I just couldn't. I was pretty close to my times at the beginning but I didn't finish strong and so my last few were garbage. Weights after were good.

| | AM - 3 miles. Nice and easy this morning. Plyos on the other hand were difficult.
PM - 5 miles. 4 miles with 4x200. We practiced our handoffs again today which was super fun but the actual run was kind of blah. I just felt really tired because I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. I couldn't really get moving on the 200s and so I didn't stress too much about it and just took them easy. Need to get to bed earlier tonight.

Snow Canyon Invitational (1 Miles) 00:04:52, Place overall: 8, Place in age division: 8 | | AM - 3 miles. Nice warmer morning. Foot hurt a bit.
PM - 5 miles. I ran the 1600 and 400 today. The goal was to try and go with the leaders and see what I could do. It was super hot today which worried me but I dumped some water on myself before the race and that helped a little. I got out quick and right in the mix with everyone. First lap was 1:08. On the second lap I slowed down a bit but leaders weren't too far ahead. Second lap: 1:11. My third lap was total garbage. The first two laps my mind was quiet but coming into that third lap, I started to think about the heat and pain and I slowed down a lot. Third lap was 1:17. I tried to pick it up on the last lap but I just couldn't get myself to go and this Cedar kid passed me. With 100 to go I kicked it in hard, passed the Cedar kid and finished just a little bit behind Andrew. Fourth lap was 1:16. It wasn't the race I was hoping for but a PR and decent race nonetheless. I ended up 8th place overall and scored a point which was cool even if this race wasn't super competitive. I still need to work on the second half of workouts and races. I also ran the 400 but it was really bad. It ended up being a 59. I was so burned out both physically and mentally from the 1600 that I just couldn't get moving.

| | AM - 5.5 miles. 600(R+2), 400(R), 300(R), 200(R-4), 100(R-2) with equal recovery and 1.5 mile warm/cool. Goal times were 1:39, 1:05, 48, 28, and 14. The legs were still feeling pretty tired from the race yesterday and I just couldn't get going like I should have. I hit 1:42, 1:04, 48, 29, and 13. The times weren't too bad really but it didn't really feel like I was where I was supposed to be and I was running slower than last week.
PM - 3 miles. Quick run by myself. I felt pretty good.

| | AM - 8 miles with 1.5 mile hard finish. Met up with the guys at Preston's this morning and we ran Prospector. Super fun run. It has been a while since I have hit a trail and a while since I didn't have a race on Saturday. On the hard finish, we started out a little slow and so I decided to take the lead and picked it up. We ended pretty strong around 5:30 pace. Had breakfast at Preston's and then had some legit games of speed.
