| | AM - 1 mile. I wanted to do the morning but I didn't want to add too much mileage so only did 1 mile.
PM - 7 miles. 0.5 mile warm and core exercises, 1.5 mile warm, 2x1600 with 400 meter recovery, 4x200 (hard) with equal walking recovery, and 1.5 mile cool. Pretty hard workout today. My times for the 1600s were 5:38 and 6:03. My 200s were okay but I was already dead from the 1600s so not the greatest. Foot didn't feel to bad. It really didn't start hurting until the 200s so that was good.

| | PM - 6.25 miles. 0.5 mile warm and 4xSunrise Tire Hills. I think this was our first time this season doing our hills to the very top. I was actually really excited to do these today as wierd as it sounds. I felt like I did pretty well. My times for each one were: 1:46, 1:43, 1:56, 1:52. The distance was almost exactly a quarter mile if you wanted to know. I sat back at the beginning on all of these and tried to give a harder push at the end. I did just what I wanted on the first two but I may have overdone it because my third was junk. I felt like I was barely moving on that one. On the last one, the same thing started happening but I didn't let myself totally quit and gave one last strong push to end the workout.

| | AM - 3 miles. I ran down past Pine View Middle to Fosdil Ridge because I knew it would be some good hill work to get prepared for Footlocker.

| | AM - 5 miles. 1.5 mile warm, 4x400 with equal recovery, 1.5 mile cool. I met up with everybody this morning at the high school to do our workout. I was really happy with my workout today. It really gave me a lot a confidence and reminded me that I'm not out of shape. My times (I think) were somewhere around here: 1:10, 1:08, 1:06, 1:05. This workout gave me a lot of confidence heading into Footlocker. I'm expecting a very good race.

| | AM - 3 miles. I went and explored some neighborhoods over by 2450 park. I found a nice little hill that I pushed up. It was a nice run but my right foot didn't feel great.

| | AM - 5 miles. 5 miles with 2 miles tempo (goal - 6:00 min. pace). I met up with Preston, Andrew, and Jake at Jake's house and we did our tempo out there in the fields. We started 1 mile into the run and even though part of the first mile was downhill, our first mile was about 6:12. On the second mile, it was mostly flat and we really got rolling and finished with a 5:52 mile for a total time of 12:04. Super satisfied with this today. I've really gotten better at tempos since last year and I actually quite enjoy them now.
