AM - 5.5 miles. Same barefoot warm up and then 4x1000 (goal - 4:56) with 3 min. recovery. My times were 4:45, 5:00, 5:00, and 4:55:98. I did lot better today at hitting my times. I almost even hit my time on the 4th repeat. I only missed it by 2 hundredths of a second and if you round to the nearest second then I did hit my pace. It was a great (not to mention easy) workout and my legs just felt great.

PM - 3 miles. First double of the season and it brought back memories of last summer. It was a sweltering hot day and by the time the run was over every inch of my body was covered in sweat. Weights afterwards.

AM - 6 miles. Same old warm up, 4 miles barefoot with striders, and then just a little running at Kids Club. I was feeling pretty sore from yesterday but didn't bother me much on the run. Kids club was fun but my group was very small. There were more leaders than kids.

AM - 6.5 miles. Same warm up and then 30/30 workout with 1 mile warm and about 0.5 mile cool. This was my second 30/30 workout and I found it so much easier than the first. My legs were still a little sore especially my quads which bothered me a bit early on but it soon faded. I came into this workout today very positive and with a goal in mind. My goal was to minimize walking on recovery (Coach wanted us to do this anyways) and try to get at least 30 repeats again. I nailed both of these goals and ended with 33 repeats which compared to two weeks ago felt way too easy. I hit my distance every time and actually overshot it most of the time and jogged way more than last time but it just seemed too easy today. I think that because I was more positive towards this workout, it didn't seem as hard but it could also be that I'm getting into better shape. Or maybe, it is a little mix of both. Whatever the reason, I'm just super happy with how I did today.

AM - 5.5 miles. 5x10 sec. bounders and 5x10 sec. hill sprints in Hell Hole with warm/cool to mileage. I felt pretty good with how I did today. I pushed it as hard as I could on the sprints and did the bounders the best I could but on the way back I barely could get up the hill and walked quite a bit. Hills are still my weakness so I still need to work on those. My legs were still sore especially the quads.

PM - 3 miles. Same old Arctic Circle run. It wasn't hot today but it was super humid so it was still bad. Weights afterwards. My right quad really bothered me at the beginning of the run.

AM - 7 miles. Practice at Vernon Worthen Park today. It was a hilly run today and I just could not get myself up that big hill. I walked a little and I am mad at myself for doing so. I am going have to work hard on that before the season starts. I flew back down the hill though. I signed up for the 5k on Monday yesterday so it should be good to see how I can do.

AM - 3 miles. A nice cool run up in Pine Valley with my bro. I felt good pretty much all soreness in the legs is gone. I had a pretty good week. I had some good workouts and I'm excited to see what I can do next week. I need to work on my hills and just stop walking. I can't believe, I'm walking on some runs at my level.
