| | PM - 7 miles. 4x1000 (goal: 3:49) with 3 min. recovery and 2x300 with full recovery and Harts warm and cool. It was super cold because of the rain and wind but that didn't stop me and I had my best repeat workout My 1000 times were 3:47, 3:53, 3:50, and 3:49. My 300 times were :50 and :50. Weights after. |

PM - 6 miles. Did two sets of this: 600 (race pace + 4 sec), 400 (race pace + 2 sec), 300 (race pace), 200 (race pace - 4 sec), 100 (race pace - 2 sec) with 100 recovery and Harts warm and cool. I started off pretty good and stuck with Andrew and Nick but got lazy in the middle and I was soon running by myself and way slow. Towards the end I started to pick it up again but only after Coach told me to run stronger and look up. I have a bad habit of looking at the ground and I noticed when I started to look up and quit running so crappy that I ran a lot better and stronger. Not the workout I wanted to have after running pretty well yesterday. I also biffed it on the warm up when both my legs got caught in a metal ring.

| | PM - 5 miles. 4 miles and striders. Nice short run but I hate how the turf was hot when we did striders. Shin was feeling pretty good. |

| | PM - 5 miles. 4 miles and 4x200. It was super hot today but it was a pretty good run. I was feeling kinda tired which means I need to get to bed earlier. |

| | PM - 5 miles. I didn't go to the meet so I just did 5 by myself. Nice little run but shin hurt. |

Buena Vista Stake 5k (3.1 Miles) 00:20:11, Place overall: 1, Place in age division: 1 | | I wasn't racing at Desert Hills this weekend so I thought running this would be fun. There were only about 4 people who actually raced and tried to win (me, my brother, Wesley Plumb (used to run), and a guy in his 30s). It was a pretty tough course and it kinda reminded me of the race in January at Dixie State. It was super fun to win and see my brother take 2nd. My shin felt pretty good today. |
