| | PM - 6 miles. 4x1000 repeats (87%) and Harts warm and cool. I still felt a little sick and tired too. I was supposed to hit 3:39 (though I've been trying to work with Andrew a bit more and hit his at 3:35). Sadly, I fell off again. I ran a 3:38, 3:43, 3:42, and then a sad 3:57. I just need to get more sleep. |

| | PM - 5 miles trail at old airport trail. Jake drove over there and almost killed Steve (from the running center). I felt extremely good today. Still not totally better but was able to stay with the group. There were some terrible hills and it reminded me of roller coasters but I didn't tire out like I've done in the past week. Great run. |

| | PM - 8 miles with 24 min. tempo at 6:00 min pace. I felt way better today. My sickness was pretty gone and my legs were feeling good. I was running good and hit about 6 min in the first mile but started to fall off again. I realized it was my mind that was holding me back. I may be better physically but a lot worse mentally. Need to work harder on that because that is the only thing holding me back right now. |

| | PM - 6 miles with old man hills (4x400). I was doing much better today getting to where I needed to be. I started to fall off on the way back but I remember what Mike told me on one of the summer afternoon runs when I started to fall off towards the end. He said,"If you can't finish off a run, you can't finish off a race." This quote helped me push that last little bit. |

Mr. PVHS 5k (3.1 Miles) 00:18:16, Place overall: 7, Place in age division: 7 | | Not really a competitive race but it was for a good cause and helped me get closer to my LT pace (5:40 pace). This was a great race for me and a PR by over a minute. I was feeling great and even though I didn't hit my goal of 5:40, I did a lot better than I have been doing. Warm up of 2 miles and cool down of 1 mile. My mile times were 5:50, 6:25, 6:02, respectively. I think we may have cut some corners because my watch was only at about 3 miles, but whatever. |
