AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. A lot warmer this morning which was nice. My right hamstring felt a bit sore still. 

PM - 4.25 miles. 3 downhill repeats. We drove over to the Maverick out in Washington and practiced running down hill on one of the dirt hills out by Grapevine. It was a nice thing to practice especially since I know that the last two years at Foot Locker I have held myself back on those hills. It's going to be cool to see what I can do this week.

AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Morning runs are a lot better because it is so much warmer. Felt a bit tired and sore today from the workout yesterday. 

PM - 4.75 miles. 30 min easy with striders. Great run. I felt a bit tired so it was nice to take it easy.

AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. It was actually really warm today which was nice. Legs still felt sore.

PM - 4.25 miles. Sunrise Tire Hills (6x20 sec with 10 sec recovery). Decent workout. It was a little bit easier than last time because we only had 6 but it was still really tough. I did my best to go with Nick but he was a freakin monster on those hills so I got left in the dust. I ran well though and pushed hard. I need to work on staying relaxed though because I let myself tighten up too much.

AM - 4.25 miles. 30 min easy. We had a nice pickup at the end of our run and got a nice little cruise going. It was really fun and that was the farthest we've ever gone on a morning run.

PM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Got to California for Footlocker and had a great run. It was pretty nice weather for the sun being down and I could definitely tell the difference in Elevation.

AM - 3.25 miles. We ran the course today at Mt. Sac. The course seems the nicest it has in the past couple years. Not nearly as muddy as previous years especially since they are fixing all the cruddy spots. I'm feeling good about the race tomorrow.

Foot Locker West - Not my best race today. I thought I was ready to roll but I psyched myself out a lot this morning and everything just went down hill from there. I didn't get out very quick and so I found myself trapped like crazy in the pack for most of the first mile. I came through the first mile in like 5:07 but once we hit the switchbacks my whole race just crashed and burned. I was exhausted after switch backs so my last 2 miles were mostly just a tempo instead of a race. I didn't kick or anything. Just not a good race. Sad way to end my high school career but I think it just gives me more motivation to run better during track.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Average Pace: 7:58. First day back from the 2 week break. I felt really good today. Legs were still sore from the bball game with DH on Saturday but I honestly didn't feel out of shape or anything. This really is no suprise because studies have shown that you only lose about 6% of your VO2 Max after 2 weeks of no running so I'm still in decent shape.

AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Average Pace: 7:37. Met up with my boys Preston and Jake at Sullivan Soccer Park and the girls showed up at the same time for some reason. My ankle hurt a lot for some reason for the first mile but I was fine after that. It was a super fun run and Preston was hilarious the whole time.

AM - 3.5 miles. 30 min easy. Average Pace: 8:17. Ran out into Washington at about 6 this morning. Ankle still hurt and I can't think of how I hurt it. Probably rolled it or something but don't really remember if I did or not. I decided to take it a lot easier today and give it a chance to heal up good. Good run but I just hate the cold.

AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Average Pace: 7:37. Great Christmas Run. I tried out my new Virrata 2s and they are beast. They are almost exactly the same as the 1s but that's okay since the 1s were already almost perfect. It's like they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." A little chilly this morning but I felt like it wasn't as bad as it has been. My ankle felt a lot better today. Still some pain but very little now. Found one of those metal rings that I tripped on a couple years back and I picked it up as a souvenir.

AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Average Pace: 7:46. Met up with a bunch of people at Josie's house and we ran out over the bridge. It was super cold and my foot was a little bothered by the uneven dirt on the side of the road but it was a good run.

AM - 4.25 miles. 40 min easy. Average Pace: 9:11. Trail Run!!! Met up with a bunch of people at Chuckwalla and had a beast run. I felt really good this morning. A few aches and pains that eventually faded out but that's how I usually feel on Monday. It was such a fun and beautiful run but it's still so freakin cold in the morning and it sucks. Other than that, great way to start the week.

AM - 5.25 miles. 40 min easy. Average Pace: 7:53. Ran by myself across Foremaster hill this morning at about 6:30. Super cold again but it's always nice to run earlier in the morning because the streets are a lot less busy and combine that with the top of Foremaster which is never busy, it was a nice quiet run. Felt good, nothing hurt besides my face.
