Race - 1.5 mile warm/cool. I had a lot of fun today. The race was awesome and I was very satisfied with my performance even if it was still off my LT pace. When the race started, I hung back a little bit but was still going pretty fast. I was just a few seconds behind Krenny, Dave, and Matt for that first mile. I picked it up the second mile and caught up to Dave but was still a few seconds behind Krenny and Matt, Dave started to fall back a bit towards the end of the second mile and I just stayed in the same spot. The third mile was pretty much the same. Matt started to gap Krenny but I was still the same distance from Krenny. With about 800 to go I finally decided to go get Krenny. I caught him with about 400 to go and then I used my kick to barely finish in front of him by 2 seconds. My average pace ended up being about 5:37 which is still 13 seconds off my LT but a lot closer than it has been. I'm not to worried about that. It was just fun to go out and race again. I am in love with road races.
