I really liked this race. It had a lot of hills but it showed me that those hill workouts are very important. I felt great especially after my legs had been sore most of the week. I got a new PR even though this race was a little bit shorter. I really need to work on the mental part of my racing because that is the only thing holding me back from being a great runner. I felt like I ran pretty well but I really need to work on my hills just I little bit harder and use the downhills to my advantage. My finish was poor again and instead of passing anybody, I ended up getting out sprinted at the end. Our JV boys were outstanding with 5 runners in the top 10 and 7 in the top 15. |
