AM - 2.5 miles. 20 min easy. I showed up a little later than I normally do but the team left 1 minute early so I ran by myself for a little bit.

PM - 5.5 miles. 30 min easy with striders and a little extra running with the little kids at the little kid meet. Felt pretty good. Not much else to say.

Controversy - BYU or Herriman? Well this controversy has already floated around the blog for the past week or so as some people are mad at their Coaches for not taking them to BYU. So if you have any more input on the subject, comment. I personally am only bummed about not going to BYU because it means our trip up north is only 1 night instead of 2.

BYU has by far the best competition and is sick to watch and the track is the best and byu is the best meet of the year and i love byu

If it is that difficult of a decision to make, why not do both. They are on different days. Run Herriman on Friday and BYU on Saturday.

Honestly though, just go out and have fun and do your best at which ever one you are lucky enough to participate in.

From Sarah! on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 13:10:12 from 24.10.251.133

I agree with Connor :) Because you can only have 6 state qualifying meets in 4A and 5A so if you only have one left like a lot of us do you have to choose. I'd choose BYU for sure!

From Holt on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 13:36:13 from 204.113.55.41

There is something that you guys up north never think about though... and that is location. Traveling is not very conducive to fast running - sitting out in the weather, staying in hotels, eating crappy food. So for us down south, that totally affects performance. Not that anything you guys said isn't true; it is just an added element that we have to take into account that northerners don't.

From The Warbeast on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 14:40:40 from 204.113.54.0

Dear Controversial Cam, I loved BYU last year, but I honestly am stoked for Herriman. Fast is fast is fast. And I know that we can run fast anywhere there are other fast runners... And there are fast runners at BYU and Herriman. Of course, if I was a nationally ranked dude who was faster than everyone else, I'd probably choose BYU.

From Controversial Cam on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 14:53:55 from 204.113.54.0

Now that I think about it, I've never really had any good races when I've travelled.

From Adam Jensen on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 18:14:52 from 174.52.165.110

Having been to BYU and Herriman, I would have to give the nod to BYU. However Herriman is a solid meet, especially since it's a twilight meet, and I quite like running under the lights. Either way you choose it's a win-win.

From Matt Todd on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 18:24:32 from 75.162.218.236

I have yet to race at either, but BYU always gets the best results so I'm super pumped for it on Saturday.

From Alli Peterson on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 18:33:30 from 97.117.6.131

Holt, we can always stay an extra day & go watch byu!

From Hell Raiser on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 18:58:42 from 174.19.41.93

BYU. That track is like garunteed PR. I'm 4 for 4. But I hear at herriman we may be able to see the dump truck that fell down the side of the mine.

From Connor Baller on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 19:19:53 from 74.81.232.157

I do agree with what holt says tho, traveling is a big factor. Just go run a killer pr and this conversation wont even matter. Good luck to all you guys!!!

From Alex The Lion on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 20:33:53 from 174.19.41.93

Hey when we went to Woodbridge Classic I ran a 15:38 so I believe traveling improves preformance.

From Alex The Lion on Wed, Apr 29, 2015 at 20:38:37 from 174.19.41.93

Also Ive never ran at BYU but I have heard much praise for its epicness so hopefully I can compete there someday
