| | AM - 10 miles. 75 min easy with Strong Finish. Great run with Coach and the guys out along the AZ strip somewhere. I didn't realize we had a strong finish so when we started picking it up at the end I just thought we were just doing it for fun and I just said what the heck and picked it up too. It was a great run and even though I was tired, I survived.

| | AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Super cold this morning so I wore gloves and a beanie for the first time.
PM- 6.5 miles. 3x1600 step down workout (goal - 5:35, 5:25, 5:15) with 400 meter recovery on the track. Goal today was to work on finishing faster since that has been a big issue for us all season. We did a good job and my times were 5:37, 5:25, 5:15. The first one was really easy and I just stayed really relaxed. The second one got a little more difficult but still pretty chill. The third one started out pretty hard but I realized we were going a little fast so I relaxed and I finished nice and relax. Overall, a great workout considering it was on the track and I usually suck it up on the track.

| | AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Another cold run which makes me sad because I hate the cold. A little tired but I think that is just cause I got to bed a little late last night. Just realized I've hit 500 miles with my Lunarglides.
PM - 7.5 miles. 62 min easy. Trail Run Tuesday. Mustang Pass. Beast run on my favorite trail. Felt pretty good so I just let myself fly down the backside.

| | AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. It's getting so chilly.
PM - 10 miles. 400 drop down workout (1:20, 1:19, 1:18, etc.) until you can't hit the time with 2 min recovery. This was pretty tough today but I stayed relaxed and I did really well. I got all the way down to 1:04 before I dropped out so that was pretty cool. Another one of my best track workouts ever. It made me super tired though and today was like the first time my legs have ever cramped up during a cool down.

What The Hells? All-Comers (2 Miles) 00:10:20, Place overall: 9 | | AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Just a chill run.
PM - 5.75 miles. Race. I didn't really take a whole lot of time preparing mentally for this race but I think that is what helped me race so much better today. I think my biggest problem this year is I get so worried about everything. I get worried about who I should beat, how I should race, how fast I should go, and on and on and on. So today I just didn't really worry about anything and just went out and had fun. I got out pretty quick today and into 2nd place which was weird because it didn't feel that fast. I guess it was probably because the beginning was down hill. Once we came back up hill is where I really started to struggle a bit and people started passing me. I stayed relaxed though and kept pushing pretty hard the rest of the race and finished pretty strong. Good race.

| | AM - 10.25 miles. 78 min with strong finish. Prospector Trail with Coach and the guys. Felt tired today so this run was kind of tough for me and I felt like falling off the group. I sucked it up though and had fun so it turned out to be a pretty good run. I didn't feel too great on the strong finish but it ended up being pretty strong.

PM - 6.25 miles. 2x1600 drop down (goal - 5:15, 5:05) with 3 min recovery. Actual Times: 5:14, 5:14. This workout was tough for me today. The first one wasn't too bad but I just psyched myself out mentally on the 2nd one and couldn't stick with Nick and Paul.

| | AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. I wasn't feeling super great this morning. The girls went super fast this morning and so I ran with them on the way back.
PM - 7 miles. 55 min easy. Trail Run Tuesday - Dino Tracks. Tough trail run. I was already feeling tired today and this run didn't help. It's a really cool trail but it isn't very easy. My foot has started hurting a lot again which sucks because I almost thought it was all better.

PV Autumn Classic (2 Miles) 00:10:43, Place overall: 9 | | AM - 4 miles. Pretty warm this morning so some of us took our shirts off.
PM - 6.5 miles. PV Autumn Classic. Time - 10:43. Place: 9th. Fun Race Today. I got out quick and right to the front and then I slowed down and tried to set the pace which actually worked pretty well. It was really only Spencer Ford and Paul who went around me at the beginning. As we came past the baseball fields is where everyone started to move around me and I just kind of relaxed at this point. I can't really remember much of the rest of the race but Coach yelling at us that we were so close to their five. I could see Sage wasn't too far ahead just up the hill on the last lap but I was pretty tired and I settled a little too much at this point. I finally got up some courage to kick coming around the turn to the finish but it was too late and I finished less than a second behind Paul and 2 seconds behind Sage. That was one of our best races against DH this year. The score didn't really show it but that was the closest our 5th guy has been to their 5th so that was pretty cool. I ended up 4th on the team and that was good enough to secure my spot for Nike. Super excited for next week. Coach isn't signing us up for the Championship race which is kind of a bummer but we will probably run better in the Open race anyways so I understand.

PM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Really fun workout. It didn't feel like I ran very fast but it sure was tough.

| | AM - 8.5 miles. 70 min with strong finish. Trail Run in Santa Clara with Coach and The Guys. I wasn't feeling super great today but no one really was. It was super fun and we took it pretty slow so that was nice. On the strong finish, me and Andrew worked together and got into a nice groove.

PV Dream Mile 2014 (1 Miles) 00:04:42, Place overall: 2 | | AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. It was so cold this morning. I really wish it was summer again.
PM - 4.5 miles. PV Dream Mile. Time: 4:42. Place: 2nd. Probably my best track race ever. I decided not to be scared and got out quick and right with Nick. I stuck right on Nick's back for the first two laps but I started feeling really tired at the beginning of the third lap and Andrew passed me right here. The third lap was really tough for me and Andrew started to gap me a little bit on this lap. When we hit the last lap, I found some energy again and caught Andrew on the back stretch and kicked pretty hard the last two hundred but sadly I missed out on breaking 4:40. Nonetheless, just a great race for me. PR by 9 seconds and the best race I've ever had on the track. I've finally figured out how I race best and its to get out fast. I need to work on that third lap because that's where I lost a lot of ground. If I had stuck on Nick on that third lap, I could have hit sub 4:40 and probably could have pushed Nick to sub 4:30.

| | AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. We dropped my brother off at the airport early this morning so I had to run by myself at 4 am. It was a good run but I just hate the cold.
PM - 4.75 miles. 40 min easy. We just ran around all over hanging up posters for the Run Run Reindeer 5k. It was fun but I wish we had done Trail Run Tuesday.

| | AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. It was warmer today but still cold. My legs felt good and my foot is pretty much all better.
PM - 5.5 miles. 2x1:30, 2x1:00, and 2x0:30 cruises with 2 min recovery. We ran over to the middle school and Panorama Elementary and ran some repeats on the field over there because it has a similar setup as Nike. My legs felt pretty tired today so this was pretty tough for me. I tried my best to stick with Nick but pushing out of the grass was really tough. I need to work on my form becuase it got pretty sloppy in there and I'll run so much better if I can clean it up.

PM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Fun but pretty chilly run in Flagstaff on our way to NXN SW. We just ran all over the place around NAU's campus, hit up their track, and other fun stuff.

| | AM - 4 miles. 31 min easy. We hit up one of the coolest parks ever. Buffalo Park is seriously the coolest and prettiest places I have been. There were herds of deer everywhere with multiple bucks so it was so dope. If you ever get a chance to go to Flagstaff or even pass through it, you have to hit up Buffalo Park. It is so cool.
PM - 3.25 miles. 25 min easy. We ran the course this afternoon. It's got a similar feel to the old Southwest course with it being on a golf course again. It's going to be pretty fast.

NXN Southwest 2014 (3.107 Miles) 00:16:45, Place overall: 91 | | AM - 8 miles. NXN Southwest. I got out quick and tried to go with Nick at the beginning. I hit the first mile and 5 flat and I felt pretty good at this point. The 2nd mile got really tough for me and Jake caught me at this point. I tried to go with him but I was so exausted already. I had a nice little battle with a Orem kid that last mile but he ultimately outkicked me. Not a whole lot to say about this race. I ran good but not the best that I could have. We ended up 6th in the open race as a team, only three points behind 5th. I would have only needed to run one second faster to get those three points. If I had only gotten that Orem kid. Decent race for our team and pretty good race for me.

PM - 4.5 miles. Sunrise Hills (8x20 sec with 10 sec recovery). Tough workout but I did decent. Tried my best to stick with Nick on these and was pretty close.
