AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Good run but foot still hurt so I didn't do plyos this morning.

PM - 7.5 miles. 60 min. 6x800 and 4x400 with 1 min recovery. Pretty wimpy performance today. We were running them on the track and just like last week, my feelings towards the track dragged me down. I felt tired to begin with but being on the track made it worse. Coach bascially read my mind right after we finished the 800s and had me finish the 400s on the grass. I definitely ran a lot stronger on the grass and it was a great way to end the workout. I'm going to have to just learn to shut off my mind on the track or I'm always going to stink at it.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Same old stuff. Starting to get a bit colder. 

PM - 5 miles. 30 min easy with 4x200. Great easy day. Kept it pretty slow up into Green Springs.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Good run. Legs felt fresh and wasn't bothered by the quick pace back. 

PM - 6 miles. 40 min. Cedar Invite. This race was really frustrating. We came in with a goal to move up on DH but it didn't happen. It was actually one of our worst races. We just weren't with it today and not only did DH crush us but we also got beat by Page and ended up 3rd. I know we are a lot better than what happened out there today. I know we should be right in the mix with DH but it just hasn't been happening. We need to figure some things out.

PM - 7 miles. 60 min easy with long hill. Went over to my cousins house tonight which is close to the Region Course so I was able to run on it after doing 1 time up Webb Hill/Meat Grinders for my long hill. It was after dark so it was a little sketchy on my own but it was fun. It was cool to look down on the all the city lights from the top of the hill and it was good to be able to run the Region Course and get a feel for it again. I was getting a little scared that P the M might jump out on me though. I felt pretty good on the run. My foot felt fine and nothing else really bothered me. It was just fun to switch it up for a change and run by myself.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Good run.

PM - 6.25 miles. 50 min. 2 set Michigan. I got out much quicker than last time on this workout but didn't finish any faster. I barely missed out on A standard again which was a bummer but it was a good workout. I settled a little too much at the end so I'll need to work on that.

PM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Fun adventure run. We just had fun running out by my house and just going wherever we wanted too.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Same old. 

PM - 5.25 miles. 45 min with 4x800 and 6x400 with 1 min recovery. JV was racing at Snow Canyon do we hit up the Region Course to run our workout. My 800s were right where I wanted them. I was able to stick right with Nick the whole time and lead the guys but my 400s were weak. I started to feel tired and I just couldn't get my legs moving.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Just the usual. 

PM - 3.5 miles. 30 min with 1600 all out. I got out quick and right with Nick on the first lap but I slowed down a lot the last three laps and finished in 4:51. A PR of 1 second I guess but not what I was hoping to do. I've never really ran well on the track.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Another beast morning run. 

PM - 4.75 miles. 40 min with Old Man Hills (4x400). I did decent today. I've never been great at hill workouts but I did pretty well. I kept it fairly close to Nick and Paul and ran pretty consistent. Times were: 1:11, 1:09, 1:10, 1:12.

PM - 3.75 miles. 400, 300, 200, 100 meter repeats all-out. The 400 meter just burned me out and the rest were much slower than they should have been.

AM - 2.5 miles. 20 min easy. Another nice shake out. My legs felt pretty sore from yesterday.

PM - 6.5 miles. Region. Goal coming in was to run my best and help my team go win. Neither of thise happened and it turned out being a crappy race. It was slower than my time at Dixie All-Comers. I got out right where I wanted to but once DH made their usual move I didn't go with it and that's where my race went down the toilet. I need to work on sticking in there for a little longer next time.

AM - 4 miles. 5xWave Hills. Pretty fun and easy workout. I pushed very hard up the hills and I felt pretty good. The grass was wet so quite a few people went sliding.

AM - 4 miles. MasterBlasters. This was super tough for me. My legs felt tired to begin with so I really couldn't get moving like I should have. It was fun though. 

PM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Got together with some of team and we ran up Mustang Pass. I felt pretty sore but we kept it easy.

PM - 5 miles. 40 min easy. Ran with Jake, Josie, and Ellie out into the desert by Jake's house. Super fun run and it wasn't super fast becuase we were running with the girls.

PM - 4 miles. 1 min, 45 sec, 30 sec, 15 sec fartleks with full recovery. Good run. I didn't go extremely fast on these cause my legs weren't feeling too great.

AM - 2.75 miles. 25 min easy.

PM - 6 miles. State. Not a whole lot to say about this race. I felt like I was ready to go run really well but I guess I wasn't. I didn't get out with my team like I planned and I never was able to get back with them. I honestly didn't even race today. I pushed a bit but mostly it was just a relaxed tempo. Definitely my poorest race of the season and ended up being one of the most disappointing for our team. We finished a very heartbreaking 4th place. We shouldn't have let Park City or Stansbury beat us but we just ran so bad. I blame myself for the poor race. It seems that our worst races this season have come when I have run bad and our best races have come when I have ran decent. I wanted to walk out of there with no regrets and sadly I walked out of there with more regrets then any other race I've ever ran before.

PM - 4 miles. Beast adventure run through Sandbergs. I could sense Marlar's precense but we all made it out alive. A great game of Ultimate after and Nick got his face exploded. Now he is the perfect match for Marsha Brady.

PM - 8.25 miles. 60 min easy. Felt really fresh tonight and I just let all my thoughts and feelings out on the run and so I really got rolling on the River Trail. It was just a nice time to release all of my frustration from the last month or so of the season. It was also a good chance to show what kind of shape I'm in. I'm right where I want to be physically but just haven't been there mentally. I haven't been running with my heart or with my guts and that is my biggest problem right now.

AM - 3.75 miles. Nice chill run. I felt super fresh this morning so I led most of the time.

PM - 8.25 miles. 6-7x1000 with 3 min recovery. Super hardcore run today. Coach told us we were doing 1000 repeats but didn't tell us how many so we just started busting them out. I felt decent on the first 2 or 3 but those wore me out a lot and the rest of them were pretty difficult. I always hung back at the beginning and then at the top of the hill, I would make a good strong push and get back where I needed to be. On the last one, Coach ran with us and told us if he passed us that we stopped our repeat right there. I ran mine the same way I had the whole time and Coach passed me crossing the cement by the Baseball Field. I really wished I pushed a bit harder and hadn't let him pass me because I know if I had made it up the hill, he probably wouldn't have been able to catch me. That's okay though, it was still a great workout.

AM - 4 miles. 30 min easy. Wow. I felt super sore this morning from the workout and the plyos after. It really is no suprise since that is the hardest we've ran since before we tapered.

PM - 7 miles. 60 min easy. Trail Run Tuesday. So glad we hit up a trail today because I am so sore and trail runs are just fun. Not sure what the trail is called but it is the beast one in Middleton.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. First time ever wearing a long sleeve this morning. I'm glad I did since it was pretty cold.

PM - 8 miles. 60 min easy. Still really sore today so it was great to have another easy run. It was a fun run down the river trail but it sucked because I was just so tired and my stomach didn't feel very good.

AM - 3.75 miles. 30 min easy. Good run. My legs are still tired and sore but much better. Looking forward to the Michigan.

PM - 8 miles. Michigan Workout. Tough workout today but it was good. The team got out a lot slower today so I was able to get out right with them. I was working pretty good with Nick, Jake, Paul, and Dallin for most of the first half. I started feeling really tired after the first set and I fell behind that group a ton. I was really struggling with about 1 grass loop left on the 2nd set and Coach and his crew came and passed me here. I almost gave up on myself at this point but I got my mind back in it and gave a strong push to keep the gap small between me and Coach's crew. I kicked it in well and finished with about a 25:03 and hit A standard for the first time ever which is good since this is probably the last time I will ever do this workout.

PM - 3 miles. Halloween run. Really fun run with some cool (and weird) costumes. I beat State Champ Ethan Young.
